Healthy Banana Bread

This banana bread is extremely delicious and the recipe does not include any added oils or granulated/brown sugar! It only takes 10-15 minutes to mix the ingredients together and 40-50 minutes to bake. If you know me, you know I love quick and easy recipes that only use one bowl...and this is another one!


Ingredients

  • 3 large ripe bananas

  • 1 1/2 cups of flour (whole wheat flour, almond flour, etc. also work)

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 1/2 cup nonfat greek yogurt

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F

  2. Spray non-stick spray in a bread pan (9"x5")

  3. In a medium bowl, mash up the bananas with a fork

  4. Add the flour, baking soda, eggs, honey, greek yogurt, vanilla extract and cinnamon to the bowl and mix everything together

  5. Fold in the chocolate chips (save 1 handful to sprinkle on top)

  6. Pour the mixture into the treated bread pan

  7. Sprinkle the rest of the chocolate chips on top

  8. Bake in the oven for 40-50 minutes (bread is done when a toothpick comes out clean)
